Were you angry at that Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair match?

This year’s edition of SummerSlam is in the books, having taken Las Vegas by storm for a big event featuring some good matches, multiple title changes, and a couple of unexpected returns. It’s one of those returns that is the focus of the question I have posed to you in the headline and will again pose to you in the form of a poll, because I’m genuinely curious where you, dear reader, stand on it.

Becky Lynch, out of action dating back to May 2020 because she was pregnant with her first child, showed up ensure Carmella would not be replacing the absent Sasha Banks in a SmackDown women’s championship match against Bianca Belair after all. She would be the one doing so. That’s a great way to get folks to forget about all the false advertising WWE was doing in regards to Banks vs. Belair!

What came next, however, is the source of controversy.

Lynch didn’t just defeat Belair for the title, she beat her clean in the span of two moves. A forearm and a slam, and that was that. Belair’s title run, which began after a historic win over Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37, a match that won an ESPY Award, had ended just like that. But it also meant that Lynch was champion once more, and she’s back to wrestling.

How to feel about all this?

My initial response was anger at how it was handled and I’m wondering if I’m alone in that. Do tell, dear reader.
