Heel Bayley is here, and she’s the new SmackDown women’s champion

The old Bayley, the very nice person who just loved to hug people, is gone. We know this because she showed up to Friday Night SmackDown this week with a haircut — she just shortened it up, so no more ponytail — and then, if it wasn’t clear already, she took a blade to the Bayley buddies and popped every one of them.

This came after she lost the SmackDown women’s championship to Charlotte Flair at Hell in a Cell and threw a tantrum on the floor after. She got a rematch with Flair for that title tonight and, I’ll be damned, she won the title back!

The story of the match was, well, getting over Bayley’s new persona. She’s got more of an edge to her, she’s more aggressive, and she will get in a referee’s face to complain if she doesn’t like a two count.

The finish saw her doing just that before Charlotte ran in to hit Natural Selection. Flair then went for the Figure Eight but Bayley grabbed her hair and rolled her up for the three count and the win.

That could very well indicate Charlotte is moving to Raw, but we’ll know if that’s the case come next week.

Bayley grabbed a mic after and said something about “bitches” before following it up with “screw all of you.”
