WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JUNE 6

The boom time it is over, a ghost town is all that’s here. The gold rush it is over and depression days draw near. So, tonight after sundown, I’m gonna pack my case without a word, without a sound, disappear without a trace. Ohh oh, I’m going southbound, but first I suppose I’ll liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with Baron Corbin arriving at the arena and walking along backstage, demanding they hit his music.

Baron Corbin makes his entrance.

He gets on the mic and talks about how NXT superstars used to get called up full of talent and hunger, like he did, but now they just have egos and act like we should thank them for coming up to Raw and SmackDown. Now he hears superstars in the back complaining about not getting called up yet and it’s starting to make him sick.

They have guaranteed contracts and they’re living in a house that Corbin built, starting in FCW all the way to selling out Barclay’s Arena! He says he had no control over the last draft class, but he’s gonna make everyoone here regret ever signing a WWE contract.

They’re all soft and weak and they’re sure as hell not as good as they think they are, and that all lays on the champion, Carmelo Hayes. He walks around like his stuff doesn’t stink, but he gave him a taste of main roster reality when he knocked him down and took him out last week.

Enter Ilja Dragunov.

He introduces himself and Baron asks what he wants. He says he doesn’t know about these people in the hallway, because he came out to look him straight in the eyes and say he’s not soft, he’s not weak, he’s the most animalistic intense man in NXT.

After Battleground, he’s next in line for the NXT Championship. Corbin calls him entitled, Ilja disagrees, Dragunov says Baron makes assumptions but he makes challenges, and he challenges Corbin to prove what a big star he is against him tonight.

Baron asks if he’s sure, and Ilja says he thinks he can’t bring anything as hard as Battleground was, and he lifts his shirt to show a grody purple bruise at the top of his hip. Corbin scoffs at one little bruise and Ilja takes his leave.

Trick Williams attacks Baron from behind and sends him over the top rope with a boot!

We get footage from earlier today of Duke Hudson picking Thea Hail up from training with Charlie Dempsey. He’s skeptical about her grappling acumen but she grabs a wicked wristlock and leaves him screaming. She says she’s learned to give back as good as she gets, and Hudson reminds her that you can’t win a battle royal with mat grappling.

She insists she can dump people over the top and gets him to admit he believes in her.

The Schism make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we see Bron Breakker screaming at a fallen Ilja Dragunov backstage as medics filter in to check on the Unbesiegbar Czar.

Diamond Mine (Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile, & Julius Creed) vs. the Schism (Ava Raine, Jagger Reid, & Rip Fowler) (Mixed Tag Team Match)

Schism quickly overwhelming Julius, quick tags but he gets waistlock takedowns on Reid, three in total before hammering him with knees to the ribs and tagging his brother in! Working Jagger over, tagging out on a delayed vertical and marching him around the ring before completing the suplex!

Raine tags in, facing Nile down before casually tagging Fowler in. Julius returns, go-behind, waistlock takedown into a knee to the ribs, up and over, duck a lariat, blind tag and Brutus comes off the top with an axehandle! Dragon suplex, Creed lands on his feet, military press drop into a standing moonsault! Tag back to Julius, slamming him into Rip, Ivy slams Brutus into him, an then Nile goes into him for good measure!

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Fowler with a chinlock on Brutus, uppercuts when he breaks free, he blocks a tag with elbows but Rip is able to regain control with a knee to the back! Passing Creed into the turnbuckles, assisted slam for two! Rip goes for a suplex, reversed and the path is clear but Reid tags in and grabs a sleeper hold!

Tag made, Julius in hot, belly-to-belly suplexes all over the place! Fowler backs him in the corner, Reid cracks off a dropkick, Brutus Bomb takes Rip out, enzuigiri from Jagger and Julius drops him with a lariat! Superkick in return and all four men are down and out!

Ivy tags in, trading forearms with Ava, roll under, kick combo takes her off-balance, running thrust kick, Raine lands a Scorpion kick, float over the slam, Compassionate Release applied but Reid runs in so Nile just puts it on him instead!

Ava wearing her smiley mask, she cracks a headbutt off and takes it off before the referee turns to count...

The Schism win by pinfall with a masked headbutt from Ava Raine on Ivy Nile.

We see Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo having a meeting with an incarcerated Tony D’Angelo.

They talk about matters involving a gentleman named Knuckles and Tony’s Peacock subscription. D’Angelo asks about the rat, Stacks says they got a lady working on getting him out and he thinks it’s Gallus but there’s all these other possibilities.

Tony tells him it’s definitely Gallus and when he gets out he swears on his mother’s eyes— forget about it, you gotta be smart about it with the numbers game, and he’s the Underboss because he’ll figure it out.

We get a recap of the reveal that Blair Davenport’s been behind all the attacks on the women’s roster lately, complete with a hype reel for her and we go to break.

Back from commercial we go to the therapist’s office where Robert Stone is trying to get Von Wagner help.

They flash back to the last two therapists they went to, which ended with Wagner erupting and Stone paying them off. A dude comes walking out crying and Von blows up, telling Robert there’s no way he’s walking through that door...

...that is, until the therapist turns out to be a pretty lady, then he changes his tune and makes Stone wait outside.

Blair Davenport vs. Dani Palmer

Collar and elbow, struggling in the ropes, Davenport breaks dirty with slap and Palmer gives her one back! Whip to the corner, up and over, Blair slams her and kicks her to the floor! Back inside, short whip to a big knee, gutbuster follows and she slings Dani into the ropes!

Waistlock takedown, knees to the ribs, Palmer catches a boot, trading forearms! Strike rush from Dani, cover for two! Blair on the comeback...

Blair Davenport wins by pinfall with a Falcon Arrow.

We see Dana Brooke rolling up to the parking lot to be in tonight’s battle royal, saying she’s going to win and face Tiffany Stratton, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Tiffany Stratton cuts a promo about how everyone in the battle royal is envious of what she has, and nobody was happy for her when she won the title so she has no problem proving she’s in a class of her own to anyone who wins tonight.

Lyra Valkyria is the only one she can imagine winning tonight, because she pushed her to the limit at Battleground, but no matter who wins it’ll be the same outcome.

Baron Corbin vs. Trick Williams

Corbin hot out the gates, Williams fires off some forearms in return but Baron drops him with a forearm! Hard whip into the corner, right hands and stomps, Trick back in the fight! Big dropkick, pop-up haymaker connects and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Corbin with a chinlock, Williams to his feet, slings him off, big elbow knocks him to the apron! Trick charges in, knee sends Baron to the floor, smashing him into the announce desk but Corbin sidesteps a knee and Williams knees the table hard!

Baron attacking the injured knee, wrenching the leg, breaking referee Darryl Sharma’s count, taking Trick back in the ring and pressing the attack with stomps to the knee! Williams mounting a comeback, leaping lariat and he’s fired up! Running snap swinging neckbreaker, a big kick but Baron catches him with Deep Six and falls into a cover... NOPE!

Trick laying punches in, he knocks Corbin down, waiting for him to rise but his knee gives out on the spin and Baron gets him...

Baron Corbin wins by pinfall with End of Days.

We get another episode of Hard Hitting Home Truths.

Nathan Frazer talks about how Battleground has changed the landscape in NXT, including Noam Dar’s new stable, before introducing his new senior international correspondant, Dragon Lee. Lee has a top five list of names for Noam’s stable— Two Awful Chat Show Hosts Plus Two, the Oro Mensah Experience, the Jakara Jackson Five Minus One, the “Long” Lost Legend of Lash Legend, and Noam’s Rent-A-Friends.

Dragon says Noam’s running out of surprises and he needs a new challenger, and Nathan issues a challenge for next week, and Lee will be in his corner.

Mustafa Ali is interviewed backstage.

He says he’s a free agent and he’s here with the pen in his hand, ready to write the chapter where he finally becomes a champion.

Wes Lee rolls up to talk about how excited he is that Ali is here and Mustafa tells him not to just hand him an opportunity, he’ll earn it and maybe down the road they’ll fight, that is if Wes is still champion by then.

Mustafa makes his entrance and we go to break.

Joe Gacy vs. Mustafa Ali

Gacy lands a big lariat early, punches in the corner, whip across, Ali up and over, duck a lariat, snap a tijeras off! Joe back body drops him to the apron, Mustafa with a shoulder block, slingshot cut off and he gets knocked to the floor and Gacy stalks after him!

Back inside, big Rock Bottom for two and Joe follows it with a kneeling neck crank and then a snap DDT gets a nearfall! Up top, Gacy wants a superplex, Ali blocks, knocks him down, perches...

Mustafa Ali wins by pinfall with a 450 splash.

Immediately post-match the Dyad attack Ali and beat him down!

Briggs, Jensen, and Henley are backstage, the boys giving Fallon a pep talk when Edris Enofe and Malik Blade roll up.

They kvetch at them about starting all this “tag teams fight and know each other” stuff and quiz them on how well they know each other and they nail it.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger roll up talking about how well they know each other, too, and they agree to get some brews after the battle royal.

Enofe and Blade still aren’t on the same page when Gallus roll up to say it doesn’t matter because they can’t ever beat them for the titles anyway.

Eddy Thorpe makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Noam Dar and his stable are interviewed.

He says they’re a collection of shooting stars with unlimited potential and he puts Oro Mensah over and Mensah thanks him. He moves on to Jakara Jackson, she gets a spotlight, and then so does Lash Legend. She says the screen can’t handle their brightness because they’re shining.

Dar says if Nathan Frazer wants a cup match he would do well to remember that he’s never losing the title and there’s no stopping the Metaphor.

Damon Kemp vs. Eddy Thorpe

Kemp has an edge through the early goings, repeated elbow drops, stepping on Eddy’s face, rear chinlock applied! Thorpe fights out, elbows and right hands, big chops into the ropes, back elbow, rolling solebutt, enzuigiri, elbow drop... FOOT ON THE ROPES!

Front chancery, reversal attempt, waistlock, ref trapped in the corner, back elbow gets a German suplex...

Eddy Thorpe wins by pinfall with a bridging German suplex.

Post-match, Damon argues with the referee about his foot being on the ropes in the pin.

Gigi Dolin is on the phone backstage when Kiana James rolls up to mock her for inevitably coming up short again, claiming she’ll always fall short with her background and motivations. Gigi calls her a stuck-up elitist and says she can’t wait to see the look on her face when she eliminates her.

Dabba-Kato walks past and we go to break.

Dabba-Kato vs. SCRYPTS

Dabba pulls him in, elbow to the kidneys, whip, SCRYPTS pops up and gets a few probing strikes in before Kato blasts him with a big boot! Slam, he throws SCRYPTS out of the ring and gives chase, Axiom runs in but Dabba swats him away and throws SCRYPTS back inside!

Chokebomb grip, Axiom on the turnbuckles, diving over, running away, SCRYPTS slingshots back in with an elbow! Slide under...

SCRYPTS wins by pinfall with a schoolboy pin.

Post-match, Kato scoops SCRYPTS up and drops him before turning and swatting Axiom out of the corner and chokebombing him onto SCRYPTS!

Backstage, Joe Gacy is screaming upset about Mustafa Ali and the Dyad talk him down by reminding him of their own victory. He congratulates them and says he’s fallen short twice in recent memory and he needs to reflect and rectify. Ava says one root can’t support a whole tree and Reid says next week they’ll have his back.

Lyra Valkyria and Cora Jade make their entrances to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Tyler Bate, Mustafa Ali, and Wes Lee are backstage chatting about the six-man tag they have next week.

Ali says there’s some kind of magic between Bate and Lee and says everybody wants to see them go one-on-one for the North American Championship. Tyler doesn’t want to damage their friendship, but Wes says coming to him face-to-face like this, he’s fine.

Mustafa says they’re gonna worry about their trios match and his Money in the Bank qualifier and then they’re gonna figure out when they’ll have their singles match for the title.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show.

That’s the show, folks.
