WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Mar. 6, 2023) from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, featuring all the latest build to the upcoming WrestleMania 39 scheduled for Sat., April 1 and Sun., April 2 in Inglewood, California.
Advertised for tonight: John Cena makes his return to WWE and Austin Theory will be waiting for him, Logan Paul comes to town to have a face-to-face confrontation with Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn goes one-on-one with Jimmy Uso, Kevin Owens gets a singles match against a member of The Bloodline in Solo Sikoa, Carmella takes on Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in a non-title match, Johnny Gargano vs. Finn Balor, and more!

WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 6
Love is a mist that’s turning everything red to white, like the full moon it sends you out of your mind at night. Wishing wells ain’t no use, they just say may or might, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with footage of Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman arriving at the arena earlier today.
Heyman has instructions for them one more time. Jimmy heard the Tribal Chief on Friday— he has to solve the Sami Zayn problem, but Sami escaped, which means he’s going to be here live in Boston tonight. Solo is tasked with solving the Kevin Owens problem, and Jimmy, whether Jey comes to his sense or not, he will solve the Sami Zayn problem once and forever.
They leave and Paul gets out his phone and dials Roman Reigns as we cut away.
Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa
Owens attacks Sikoa before the bell and they brawl on the floor! He throws Solo into the barricade and keeps the fists flying until he gets thrown face-first into the post! Sikoa in control now, bouncing KO off the post!
In the ring, we get a bell, Owens with a takedown into mounted punches! Big lariat from Solo, choking Kev in the ropes, Shinjiro Ohtani spinning wheel kick lays him out after! Knee to the head, trading punches, Owens fighting his way back into it but Sikoa hits a high but legal knee to the inner thigh!
To the floor, KO with a lariat, not staying down, and Jimmy Uso comes to ringside to run interference! Sikoa takes advantage, Ode to Rikishi and Owens rolls to the floor for a breather only to eat another Ode to Rikishi against the barricade as we go to break!
Back from commercial, jockeying for position up top, back on the mat and Sikoa gets a Samoan drop for two! Sidestep a charge, Solo headbutts the post and Owens drops him with a DDT! Both men down and out, KO on his knees first, backing Sikoa off with forearms, sidestepping another charge and he goes shoulder-first into the post!
Stunner denied, knocking Uso off the apron and a pair of superkicks set up the cannonball senton! KO up top, senton atomico... JIMMY BREAKS IT UP AND ENDS IT!
Kevin Owens wins by disqualification, presumably.
Post-match, Jimmy puts Owens on the announce desk and beats him down, Solo perches on the barricade... AND SAMI ZAYN MAKES THE SAVE! He posts Solo and rains mounted punches down on Uso! Smashing his face into the barricade, Zayn grabs a chair but the Bloodline men get away!
Sami slides in the ring and offers a hand to Kevin Owens in the corner, but Owens refuses the handshake and slips out to the floor to leave, and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get a recap of Wyatt/Lashley business.
Bobby Lashley cuts a promo backstage.
He says he’s tired of the little kid games and wants to confront Bray man-to-man, but he’s not a man, and he sent a guy wearing a mask to do his dirty work. He asks Wyatt what it’s going to take to get him to face him like a man.
Carmella is interviewed backstage.
She says Adam Pearce gave his this match to get her out of his hair, but she’s gonna humiliate his champion.
Chelsea Green rolls up and suggests they go over Pearce’s head and talk to his manager, and Carmella likes it but she wants Chelsea in her corner tonight.
Bianca Belair makes her entrance and we go to break.
Bianca Belair vs. Carmella
Back and forth early, Carmella with a low bridge, kicking Belair away when she tries to pull her to the floor, back inside, jawbreaker connects and a neckbreaker follows! Bianca up in the corner, backflip up and over sets up a dropkick, kip-up, fired up!
Charging in, waistlock, standing switch, O’Connor roll, Mella kicks out and uses her braid to trip her up and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Carmella is in control with a reverse chinlock. Belair fights out but again the Princess of Staten Island trips her up with her braid! Diving crossbody, Bianca catches her and rolls through, blocking the trip this time, off the ropes, block the satellite headscissors and Belair hits a backbreaker!
Handspring moonsault, Chelsea Green runs intereference, no count! Bianca pulls Chelsea in the ring, Carmella hits a superkick... NOPE! Belair gets her in the corner, mounted punches, again Green comes in the ring and the EST passes her to the floor and follows out after her, giving chase and throwing her into the timekeeper’s area!
Mella pulls her in, schoolboy with her feet on the ropes... NOT ENOUGH! Backbreaker rack...
Bianca Belair wins by pinfall with KOD.
Post-match, Chelsea and Carmella attack Bianca and put boots to her! ASUKA RUNS DOWN AND SPITS THE MIST IN GREEN’S FACE!

Backstage, Sami Zayn tries to talk Kevin Owens into allying against the Bloodline. He admits it’s complicated and they don’t need to be best friends or ride together or even team, but they have the same objective and the only way to do it is together.
He says he was in the Bloodline and Kev says he knows and gives him the business about how he picked the Bloodline over him. Owens knows they’re too much to fight alone and he’s been doing it for eight months, but Sami’s forgetting one key point— he doesn’t want to do this with him.
Maybe he was wrong, maybe go back and apologize and stroke Roman’s ego, he doesn’t care what Sami does, he just wants to be left out of it. A demoralized Sami Zayn leaves, and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get a hype reel for Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley.
The Miz is in the ring and gets on the mic.
He knows we’re all wondering why he’d step in the ring with Seth Rollins after what he did last week, and moderating this face-to-face is part of his practice for hosting WrestleMania.
Logan Paul makes his entrance, followed shortly thereafter by Seth Rollins.
Miz tries to stop the crowd from singing Seth’s theme but Rollins stops him, and eventually Logan points out they have a time limit and need to get the segment rolling, but that doesn’t do it either.
Finally Rollins addresses his people and points out he and Paul have never been formally introduced, so he gives Logan his whole rigamarole. Paul says he knows who he is, he’s the clown he dumped at Royal Rumble and whose head he stomped at Elimination Chamber.
He doesn’t know what the problem is aside from the fact that he’s just better at Seth’s job than he is, and if he were Rollins he wouldn’t like him either. Miz butts in and says Logan makes some good points, but Seth says nobody likes Logan because he’s the scum of the earth, a coward, a troll, a fraud, and a human dumpster fire.
But Boston didn’t come here tonight to hear words, they came here to see Seth get his pound of flesh, and it is time to fight! Miz tries to step in but Paul says if he wants to fight, he’ll fight, because that’s what he does, but he’s not actually going to, because he doesn’t fight for free.
But on a bigger stage with more money and starpower, he’d consider it. Miz says that being as he’s the host of WrestleMania, he can make Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins happen. Seth confirms that they can get it done here and now and throws Miz out of the ring! Paul attacks, Blackout blocked, struggling in the corner and the A-Lister makes the save!
Rollins lays Miz out with a superkick and then gets taken out by a right hand from Logan Paul! Paul tells him to let him know about WrestleMania when he wakes up.
We get a recap of last week’s VIP Lounge.
Omos makes his entrance to send us to break.
Back from commercial we get a web clip of Mustafa Ali telling Dolph Ziggler he got him this match tonight.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Omos
Ali is in the front row cheering Dolph on.
Ziggler circling, grabbing a sleeper hold but Omos shrugs him off and makes short work of him...
Omos wins by pinfall with the chokebomb.
Post-match, Montel Vontavious Porter cuts a promo about how Omos is gonna tame the Beast at WrestleMania.
Backstage, Maximum Male Models are ogling Otis again when Baron Corbin rolls up to talk like he thought they were complimenting him. Mace snaps on him and they talk about Dozer’s width and girth and “it” factor. Maxxine Dupri relents and says she sees some potential if he can get rid of the short ugly one for her.
Finn Balor makes his entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Paul Heyman gives Jimmy Uso a pep talk ahead of his main event match tonight.
He heaps the pressure on by reminding Jimmy he also has to bring Jey back into the fold by the end of the week
Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano
Balor with an early flurry into a side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, snapmare into an overhead elbow but Gargano reverses the followup into a hammerlock. Johnny on the comeback, sending Finn to the floor, standoff with Dexter Lumis, Gargano dives and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Balor back in control but Gargano gets the feet up and fights back into it! Off the ropes, flying lariat, Superman Spear... NOPE! Double knees, Johnny follows it up with superkicks for two! Finn with the inverted headlock elbow drop, double leg into the double stomp, shotgun dropkick connects!
Balor up top, Edge’s music hits and Judgment Day rushes to the stage to cut him off but the Rated R Superstar had it scouted and came in from the crowd! He shoves Finn, Johnny is ready...
Johnny Gargano wins by pinfall with One Final Beat.
We get a recap of the confrontation between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns from SmackDown.
Nikki Cross makes her entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get some hype for the next blood money show, King and Queen of the Ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday May 27.
Edge is interviewed backstage and talks about how he and Finn are starting to affect each other’s careers and he calls Balor out, saying next week he’ll be in the ring by himself to settle this.
Nikki Cross vs. Piper Niven
Cross attacks Niven during her entrance, clawing at her face, tearing at her hair, Nikki up top and we get a bell!
Big diving crossbody, Piper rolls to the floor for a breather while Cross windmills her jacket! Back inside, headbutt cuts Nikki off, dropkick to the knee takes Niven down, cross chops, block the suplex, whip across...
Piper Niven wins by pinfall with the Black Hole Slam.
In the loading dock, Rick Boogs is talking about how he could lift a trailer if only he had handles.
Elias rolls up and Rick panics about his notes but Elias wants to talk about how his star power is growing and Boogs will only learn by going out there and doing it himself. He tells Rick to go up to Bronson Reed and challenge him to a fight, and he does so.
Bronson walks over and tells Elias if he wants to fight, he’ll fight him next week. The Drifter is confused and Rick says he read his lips, and we go to break.
Back from commercial, John Cena makes his entrance.
Before he can get on the mic, Austin Theory amkes his entrance.
Theory lets the crowd chant and says just like them, he’s got all the respect in the world for Cena. He only became a WWE superstar because of John, watching him on TV with his mom, he got inspired, and he thanks him for the hustle, loyalty, and respect.
He’s got a gift for Cena, and that gift is a WrestleMania match.
John says no.
He took a second to think about it, thought it over, no. He’s not interested in Austin’s gift because he hasn’t earned the right to give it. We don’t care about Theory because we don’t believe him, and we don’t believe him because he doesn’t believe him.
He’s a generic kid out here in fancy sneakers and indoor sunglasses, and he’s got nothing in his heart. He’s walked in Theory’s shoes, and right now he’s in ruthless aggression, and ruthless aggression almost got Cena fired. It was a great opportunity but he didn’t believe in himself and it wasn’t enough.
Opportunity after opportunity, but Austin has no heart and no soul. For twenty years the crowd has been yelling back and forth with Cena and they’re here tonight because they believe, but Theory doesn’t believe and he’s only a pair of trunks away from being a jabroni.
But now a compliment, Austin Theory has the best name in WWE history. Think about it— Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Rock, the Undertaker, there is no name better than Austin Theory, because that’s exactly what he is, a theory. No one cares, and on behalf of Boston, John would like to give him a gift.
Shut up, turn around, get out of the ring, and he’ll let Theory walk out in peace. Austin doesn’t leave and says he sees all these Never Give Up shirts, but wait a second, isn’t saying “no” giving up? Where’s the hustle, the loyalty, and the respect? Don’t you all want to see John Cena at WrestleMania?
Well shut up, because he said no. But Theory’s realized since Cena was his childhood hero and all, and they talk a lot but they’re right, you don’t want to meet your heroes because they just disappoint.
Cena says he’d rather be bald than have to have crowd noise piped in, and says Austin is a dumb son of a bitch because he didn’t say “no” to give up, he said it because Theory isn’t ready. If they fight at WrestleMania and John wins, Austin loses everything, he’s done.
And if he wins, he loses everything. Sure he might win the day, but then the next day he has to go out there and explain himself to the most critical audience in WWE and they’ll eat him alive because they’ll see what he sees, that Austin is full of crap.
But he left him no choice since he brought the fans into it, and he asks the crowd if he should wrestle Theory at WrestleMania. The ayes have it and Cena says he doesn’t care about Theory but he’ll never give up on the crowd, and he accepts the United States Championship match!
He says Austin has no brain, heart, or balls, with a little tap at the end, and takes his leave. He gets to the stage and says Austin isn’t ready for the WrestleMania stage, but he wants to introduce somebody who is...
The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes!
They shake hands and hug on the stage in a sweet little moment.
Sami Zayn is interviewed backstage.
He says Kevin Owens is right, but things have changed, and the one guy who always had his back, Jimmy Uso, is trying to put an end to him? He’s not going anywhere until he sees the end of Roman Reigns with his own eyes, and he’s sorry but tonight is not going to be Jimmy’s night.
American Alpha make their entrance and we go to break.
Baron Corbin vs. Chad Gable
Corbin in control early, Shadows Over Hell Vader Bomb into overhead elbows and then into a Canadian backbreaker rack! Gable fighting back with uppercuts, off the ropes, float over, waistlock, Chaos Theory connects! Moonsault, nobody home, chokebreaker connects!
Baron jawing at him, Chad with an ankle lock in the middle of the ring! He grapevines the leg...
Chad Gable wins by submission with a grapevined ankle lock.
We get a recap of Becky Lynch and Lita winning the tag titles last week and we go to break.
Back from commercial, the new tag champs make their entrance and get on the mic.
Lynch says when a couple legends like them step in the ring side by side, you better believe they’re not gonna miss. Lita says when Becky gave her the opportunity to become a tag champ, you either let that opportunity pass by or you might history, right?
She knows Dakota Kai and IYO SKY didn’t make it easy, but they made it worth it, and she wants to thank Lynch as her friend and tag partner, but they have a very special equalizer to thank tonight.
Enter Trish Stratus.
She tells Lita she’ll always have her back, and to see her team up with the Man and capture gold, she wouldn’t have missed that for the world. A couple months back in Toronto she did tell Bayley that if she didn’t shut her mouth—
Enter Damage CTRL.
Bayley gets on the mic and admits that Trish and Lita are reasons they’re in the ring right now, but the three of them will be the reason they never come back. Stratus says she can go from “I am retired” to “I was retired” real quick and she can’t think of a better place to shut Bayley up than WrestleMania, and she challenges them to a trios match!
A brawl breaks out, Damage CTRL get taken care of with ease and bail to the floor.

Zayn hot out the gates, action to the floor, Uso with an uppercut but he charges in and gets back body dropped into the timekeeper’s area as we go to break!
Back from commercial, trading punches, whip reversed, Zayn gets a boot up and nails Uso with kicks in the corner before hitting the tornado DDT... NOPE! Sami ends up on the floor and referee Chad Patton preemptively ejects Solo Sikoa from ringside! Back in, Zayn hits the Blue Thunder Driver... NOT ENOUGH!
And so we go to break again.
Back from commercial, Zayn up top, Uso climbs to meet him, jockeying for position and they crash to the mat! Jey Uso is here and in the crowd and he comes running down! He jumps the barricade and hops up on the announce table! Jimmy is heartened by his brother’s appearance and gets to his feet and ducks the Helluva Kick!
Samoan Drop countered into a sunset flip... SAMI GETS IT!
Sami Zayn wins by pinfall with a sunset flip.
Post-match, Jimmy and Jey face off in the ring. Jey puts his hands on his brother’s shoulders and stares deep into his eyes. He switches grip to just his right hand and then grabs at Jimmy’s “We the Ones” shirt, bunching it up in his hand like he wants to tear it off him.
Emotions running high, Jey, on the verge of tears, walks past his brother and lets go, leaving the ring silently. He stops and looks at Sami in the ramp and says something the camera doesn’t pick up... HE HUGS SAMI ZAYN! JEY USO STANDS WITH SAMI ZAYN!
They touch foreheads and Jimmy collapses, defeated. Jey throws his one up and so
does Sami! Zayn tells Jimmy it’s not too late... AND JEY LAYS HIM OUT WITH A SUPERKICK! He tells him he couldn’t choose him, it’s about family, and he throws Sami into the ring and the Bloodline beats him down!
CODY RHODES MAKES THE SAVE!
