Well, we knew it would happen at some point.
Weeks ago, WWE was doing Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin matches at house shows with a special “loser eats dog food” stipulation. The speculation, then, was they would bring it to TV at some point. When they booked a special singles match between the two at Royal Rumble, it seemed as good a time as any. Instead, they went with a Falls Count Anywhere match.
That was for the best, of course.
They didn’t give up on the concept forever, though. Indeed, it finally happened on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, except in the form of a six-man tag match with Reigns & The Usos taking on Corbin & Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.
The result:
