WWE reportedly rearranges taping schedule while awaiting COVID test results

After the news got out on Monday night that a Performance Center recruit tested positive for COVID-19, WWE canceled Tuesday’s planned tapings while they tested everyone involved in production for the first time.

Plans called for a marathon taping schedule today (Weds., June 17) - and that still looks to be the case. But Sportskeeda’s Gary Cassidy and PWInsider are both reporting that they’re removed one show from the plans.

The June 22 Raw, it’s corresponding Raw Talk, the June 19 & 26 205 Live, and the next two weeks worth of Main Event will still film today. Tonight’s NXT will broadcast live, and next Wednesday’s edition will tape after that.

Next Friday’s SmackDown was on the docket, but will now be shot the afternoon of June 26 and air on a short delay. This week’s episode of the blue show was filmed on Monday.

It’s believed the full schedule was one factor in the decision. Test results are likely another. Both Cassidy & Insider’s Mike Johnson say not all of the results from the COVID-19 tests administered yesterday are back yet.

MVP did publicly share that his came back negative.

Stay tuned.
